How To Spend Valentines Day!

Welcome to LibbyLongstocking!

Long story short: I spent 2 hours last night filming a Valentines Day makeup tutorial, 3 1/2 hours this morning editing it for the last couple footage to go missing. Beyond frustrating for me, but since I did all the work to do the makeup I decided to find another use and make a blog post. Today I am going to be sharing some tips and ideas to get in the Valentines Day spirit. I don’t know about you guys, but I find that Valentines Day can be quite a boring holiday. With all the dreary winter weather, and the Christmas season over I find it hard to get excited over Valentines Day. Here are a few fun ideas to make Valentines Day a little more fun for you!

1. Bake

Perfect for the chef

Baking is 100% my guilty pleasure. I love trying out new recipes and making yummy treats for my family. Whether its heart shaped cookies or raspberry cupcakes, baking treats is a great way to spend your V day!

2. Diy/Decorate

Perfect for the crafty girl

I love to craft decor and decorate my house for the upcoming holiday. Whether its Easter, Halloween or Valentines Day I always busy myself with making different kinds of decor. Banners are one of my favorite things to make, cut out a few triangular pieces of paper, write letter be letter what you want to say and clothespin it to a piece of yarn for a cute and festive banner!

3. Readathon

Perfect for the bookworm

Any chance I get I am always down for a good readathon. Spend the day pampering yourself with new novels back to back is a great day to knock some books off of your TBR!

4. Movie Marathon

Perfect for the fan-girl

I don’t know about you guys, but my movie-to-watch list is never ending right now. Spend the day with a bin of popcorn and a cozy blanket watching some of your soon to be new favorite movies.

5. Experiment with your Valentines Day look!

Perfect for the beauty guru

Makeup is always fun to experiment with. Try out some new Valentines looks and use up the makeup you never get an oppurtunity to wear. Here is what I tried for the video I wanted to do:
